Gift message on Whatsapp is scam

Whatsapp forward messages has mostly commonly used tool for scammers to cheat innocent peoples. A new message that is doing tricks on the social messaging plaforms gives free gift to the users.

The message claims that DMart is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the company gives free gift to customers. This message has a link to a fake website. Clicking on the link redirects to a webpage ask to spin a wheel to win a prize.

As a user spins this wheel they asked to follow a instruction to claim their reward.

Share with 5 groups /20 friends on whatsapp, the page reads. A user must keep sharing with the friends. Once it is done, They are asked to continue to claim the prize.

Reader of this blog are warned that this is a fake and fraudulent method to cheat into online scams. No one is ever likely to run such a free gifts to its customers.

It is always advisable to avoid such messages and not to do a practice of forwarding them to your whatsapp contacts. Sharing will expose peope in your contacts similar risks and scams.
